Volunteering in international R4D: during COVID & beyond
The RAID Network, the Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA), ACIAR and the Australian Volunteers Program are developing exciting opportunities for Australian and Vietnamese early-mid career researchers to collaborate. Volunteering, either remotely or in-country, builds critical skills for a career in international agricultural research for development.
We held a webinar on ‘Volunteering in international R4D: during COVID & beyond’ on Friday 31 July which included a great panel discussing their experiences and new opportunities.
Our panel of experts included Nguyen Nga (Associate Professor, VNUA), Eleanor Dean (ACIAR General Manager, Outreach and Capacity), Hanh Hoang (Vietnam Recruitment Officer, Australian Volunteers Program), Jay Anderson (Plant Pathologist and returned volunteer), Robbie Mitchell (Science Communications).
For those people who couldn’t make the Zoom presentation, the video was uploaded to the RAID Network Facebook page and to date has had 695 views.
