Doing International Research in Lockdown
Can you do international agricultural research without getting your hand dirty?
With ongoing travel restrictions due to the COVID situation, many organisations are finding new and innovative ways to connect. Raid Network is no different and we, like many others, have moved to the virtual world of connecting via webinars.
This Zoom webinar “Doing International Research In Lockdown” on 28 May 2020 attracted over 60 viewers that night with over 50% of these attendees viewing this webinar from outside Australia. For those people who couldn’t make the Zoom presentation, the video was uploaded to the RAID Network Facebook page and to date has had 826 views.
Here we present the first in what we believe will be an ongoing series of webinars on various topics with a diverse range of interesting and amazing experts.
We hear from presenters: Dr Di Mayberry, Senior Research Scientist at CSIRO Agriculture and Food in Australia; Humera Iqbal, managing a Dairy-Beef project in Pakistan supported by ACIAR; Dr Tarni Cooper, veterinarian and social researcher at the University of Queensland; Dr Bradley Campbell, Postdoctoral Research Fellow within the Centre of Crop Science at QAAFI UQ.
The webinar was gratefully supported by the Crawford Fund and QAAFI Student Association.
