GRDC Fellowships and Other Opportunities
The GRDC is focused on delivering value to Australian grain growers. To achieve this, the GRDC seeks to establish a GRDC Research Fellowship Program to build excellence in research capacity by supporting Early and Mid-career researchers in greater innovation and over-the-horizon approaches to creating enduring grower profitability.
Opportunities are available:
The GRDC Research Scholarship (GRS) program supports PhD candidates and is a top-up for students receiving a Research training Program (RTP) scholarship or equivalent. This is open to international students studying in Australia. International students must be awarded a university tuition fee waiver and living allowance.
The GRDC ECR/MCR Fellowship call is aiming to build excellence in research capacity in Australia. As Criag mentioned, the criteria does allow for international applicants, but they would need to be hosted by a research institution … the key here is building capacity over a longer term that the IVFP.
The GRDC International Visiting Fellowships Program (IVFP) is targeted at supporting Australian grains researchers connecting with new partners by providing more opportunities for talented young international researchers to engage with talented early/mid-career Australian researchers.
The main point to consider is that the Proposals MUST be submitted by the Host Institution in Australia and not by the international candidate for the ECR/MCR Fellowship or IVFP.
