RAID Network and Crawford Fund WA will be hosting an information and networking event presented by Crawford Fund WA Coordinator, Emerita Professor Lyn Abbott, with speaker, Professor Ed Barrett-Lennard. There will also be an opportunity at the end of this event to hear about the 2024 Crawford Fund Student Awards and Crawford Conference Scholarships.
Presenter
Emerita Professor Lyn Abbott will provide an overview of her career, where her research has taken her and how it relates to international development. Lyn is based at The University of Western Australia, within the school of Agriculture and Environment, and her work focuses broadly on soil biology. Lyn is the Crawford Fund WA state coordinator.
Speaker 
Professor Ed Barrett-Lennard (DPIRD and Murdoch) will discuss the current Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) project in Bangladesh. Bangladesh has had a long history of ACIAR investment, and this project builds on this strong foundation and well-developed relationship between Australian and Bangladeshi researchers and growers.
