Finding your purpose in International Agricultural Development

  • What do you love?
  • What are you good at?
  • What does the world need?
  • What can you earn money doing?

Ikigai is a Japanese concept that means purpose for living. It is a framework to shift your thinking beyond identifying only with what you do: it connects you to why you do it, who you do it for, and how this makes you uniquely you. The ikigai model uses a simple sequence of enquiry questions to unlock the question we all wonder… “What is my purpose?”

In this self-reflective workshop, participants will engage in conversations and exercises that will help them discover their purpose in International Agricultural Development. We will step through questions about our lives and work, and learn about our own human journey to discover what is meaningful for us and others.

Personal Brand to Impact Good

A brand doesn’t just deliver a product or service – it can transform the way people think and act. By developing your brand, you will be greater equipped to communicate your message in a way that resonates with your audience and motivates them to take action.

The goal of this workshop is to help young leaders in agriculture become more visible, memorable and impactful… all in the name of the greater good. Whether you fight for a world of zero hunger, advocate for climate action, are passionate about gender equality, or want to ensure vibrant rural economies – having a strong brand will help you.

This workshop will cover what a brand is and what the benefits of having one are. It will look at how to turn ideas into emotional connections with an audience. It will ultimately provide leaders with the tools, knowledge and techniques to create a personal brand for impactful leadership.
