What will I do?
- You’ll explore the connections between place, culture, technology and sustainability in a new 25 credit point elective unit offered over the summer break.
- This will begin with a pre-travel module and workshops from November 2024, which will introduce you to key perspectives on environmental sustainability, including local, national and global challenges.
- Then you’ll undertake your three-week overseas trip between 9 – 29 January 2025 with a group of 30 students, accompanied by teaching staff and our partners on the ground.
- You’ll visit a diverse range of environmental sustainability initiatives delivered by not-for-profit and community groups and, wherever possible, we will introduce you to University of Tasmania Alumni and Australian volunteers working in-country.
- In your designated country, you’ll experience and contribute to local sustainability projects. You’ll then have several assignments to do to complete the unit.
